What is Lyme Bay Brut Reserve?

The Brut Reserve is Lyme Bay’s signature cuvée – an English sparkling wine made using the same traditional method as Champagne to produce a brilliantly well-made, elegant and fine English Sparkling Wine, with notes of citrus and green apples, and a soft, round and creamy, yet dryly refreshing palate.

What’s so great about it?

It’s amazing value! And that’s a great reason why you should drink Lyme Bay Brut Reserve. At just £26.99 per bottle (less if buying 6+ bottles), Lyme Bay Brut Reserve totally smashes any similarly-priced Champagne for quality and value – which is why it has become ‘house sparkling wine’ in the Marasby household.

If this isn’t reason enough why you should drink Lyme Bay Brut Reserve …

Then perhaps the winemaker is. Sarah Massey is one of the country’s youngest female producers and is one to watch.  Find out more about her journey to Lyme Bay Winery.

What should you drink it with?

Whatever you like! While made using the same method as Champagne, it is softer and rounder than most Champagnes at this price point, so it works perfectly by itself, or with some cheese straws made using Old Winchester.  Lyme Bay Brut Reserve English Sparkling Wine is also great with a main course. Try with a light chicken and mushroom sauce. But don’t overcook the chicken or make the dish too lemony as this will impair the flavour of the wine.
