Missing Gate Vineyard is one of the producers to watch from England’s most exciting region for still wines – the Crouch Valley of Essex. This Sauvignon Blanc is one of the very finest examples of the grape currently being produced in England. It is classically cool-climate in style, with punchy and pronounced aromas of Thai Basil, nectarine and grapefruit.
In the mouth, the wine is well-balanced, with some lovely richness from fermentation in large format, oak puncheon. The finish is long and complex, with flavours of stone fruits supporting a backbone of minerality.
