Missing Gate Vineyard is one of the producers to watch from England’s most exciting region for still wines – the Crouch Valley of Essex.
This effortlessly opulent Pinot Blanc falls into the category of “wines we almost can’t believe are from England”. It offers aromas of juicy stone fruits, hazelnut and citrus zest wrapped around a core of minerality. The palate is rich, poised and expressive, with great texture and balance. The finish is long and focused, with lingering flavours of ripe nectarine and crushed almonds.
The sold out previous vintage was judged by Tom Hewson as the best Pinot Blanc ever produced in England. With an additional year’s experience under their belts, we’re not betting against this follow-up acheiving the same accolade.
