Learn About English Wine:

Still Wines

England has established a world-class reputation for its Champagne-beating sparkling wines, grown mainly on the chalky soils of Kent, Sussex and Hampshire.

Yet many of the best places for growing still white, red and rosé wines don’t have any chalky soil at all – places like the Crouch Valley in Essex, and the Stour Valley in Suffolk.

Find out more, and taste a beautifully zingy white wine, a Provence-style rosé, and a surprisingly good value, full-flavoured red, at the Marasby Intro to English Wine.
